Granny Smith Apples

Chef Morissa’s Apple Dumplings

Ingredients:

2 sticks, salted butter, plus more for greasing pan

2 Granny Smith Apples

½ cup Raisins

2 cans crescent rolls

1 ½ cups granulated sugar

2 tsp. Vanilla Extract

8 oz. citrus flavored soda

2 tsp. Cinnamon

 

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees, butter a 9X13 pan.  Peel and core the apples, cut into 8 even slices.  Roll each apple sliced in a crescent roll piece and place in prepared pan.  Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the sugar and vanilla and stir. Pour over apples.  Pour citrus soda around the edges of the pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake for 40 minutes until golden.
