Team Member Highlight: Priscilla Kiptarus

“Priscilla is such a hard worker and so dedicated to the residents at Kensington Park,” says Jamie Karp, KP’s Director of Nursing. “I am constantly impressed with her teamwork, helpful attitude, and flexibility.”

This is just one of the many true statements to describe Priscilla Kiptaurs. Originally from Kenya, Priscilla worked in hotel management before coming to the states. She also worked in catering, assisting with large events for agricultural researchers in Kenya. Her background in hospitality and customer service is always present with her here at Kensington Park, where she ensures that the residents and their families are well taken care of.

Priscilla has been a part of the KP Family since 2012. She works as a Lead Care Manager in our Connections neighborhood. When she is not working at KP, she enjoys spending time with her family and two sons. She also enjoys listening to music – Christian music is her favorite – and her favorite food is goat meat!

Anyone who knows Priscilla knows how special she is. According to Mary Mell, KP Executive Director, “Priscilla is a great leader and sets the tone for all KP team members.” Mary adds, “She is a great example of what it means to love and take care of others.” Priscilla truly embodies the Kensington Park promise, “To love and care for your family as we do our own.”

When asked what her favorite part is about working at KP, Priscilla says, “Working on the floor with everyone. You get to really know the residents and learn from them.” Christina Corless says that “Priscilla works with her heart each day and treats everyone she encounters with respect and kindness; whether it is a resident, co-worker, visitor, or service provider. We are so blessed to have Priscilla on our team!”

Thank you, Priscilla, for all you do for our residents!
