Dear Residents, Families and Friends,
With the leaves changing and the weather getting cooler, we move into Autumn and the season of giving thanks. I am extremely grateful for all our amazing residents, families, and team members here at Kensington Park. We are one big family – and I am so thankful that you all are a part of it!
Giving to others is what we love to do. This year we are hosting our 9th annual Friendsgiving: Stuff the Truck Food Drive to benefit Mid-County United Ministries (MUM). Beginning November 4th – 20th, we will have boxes in each building as you enter to drop off non-perishable items (most needed: canned goods, hot/cold cereals, pasta and rice) or $25 gift cards to Safeway and Giant. Please be sure to check the expiration dates on food before donating. Thank you in advance for helping those in need this season!
The month of November also marks National Family Caregiver Month, a chance to honor family caregivers. To family caregivers: we recognize and honor all you do for your loved ones. You are always invited to join our virtual Caregiver Connect support group on the second Monday of each month, as well as our in-person Spousal Support Group on the third Wednesday of every month. Read more details or contact Claire Drummond at cdrummond@kensingtonsl.com for more information.
Finally, a special recognition this month to our veterans as we recognize Veteran’s Day on November 11th. Your love of our country and dedication to coming together as one made a significant difference in all our lives! We appreciate and recognize you all.
We wish everyone a peaceful and healthy Thanksgiving celebration. We are grateful for all of you!
Warmly,
Mary
