Sindu was nominated for our employee of the month honor by her supervisor, Memuna Kamara, who says, “Sindu enriches the lives of our seniors every day she is here at work. She communicates effectively and respectfully with doctors, families and her co-workers, to promote quality care. She takes pride in her work and cares for the residents as she would her own family.”
Sindu first worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant here at Kensington Park and is now a Licensed Practical Nurse, Med Care Manager, in Memory Care. She says she loves her job, in part, because staff members are very respectful of one another and the nursing team works so well together. “Kensington Park is a good place to work,” Sindu says, advising new hires “to give good care to residents and work together as a team.”
Sindu values honesty in people, and greatly admires Mother Theresa. Her favorite food is fish, but she also loves chocolate. Sindu describes herself as shy but:
“if I have something to say, I will speak. I have patience but, if I see something has been passed over, I start talking a lot!”
She has three children, two boys and a girl, whom she loves watching play soccer. Sindu also enjoys going to church and listening to Christian music. She says we might be surprised to learn she is a good singer.
Congratulations, Sindu, and thanks for being a valuable member of the Kensington Park team!
