When we think of Lovetta Kpue, we are at a loss for words to truly express how much of an impact she has on our residents, their families, and her fellow co-workers. Christina Corless, Director of Memory Care, says that “Lovetta is a servant leader, with no job too big or small for her. If she sees something that needs to be done, she takes initiative. She is always coming up with creative ways to advocate and support her residents and their ever-changing needs.” Originally from Liberia, Lovetta started at Kensington Park in May of 2012. During her 11-year tenure here, she has worked her way up from Lead Care Partner (CNA) to Memory Care Supervisor.
Mary Mell, Executive Director, says, “Lovetta has been instrumental in assuring that the resident care is excellent and continues to drive this daily. She understands what needs to be done and does it. I have never met anyone who gives so much of herself and is so dedicated to making sure the residents are cared for with the utmost respect… She is truly my hero. Lovetta sets the expectations with her team on all shifts and adjusts her schedule as needed to meet the needs of our residents.”
When Lovetta is not at work, she is spending time with her family or taking classes towards her college degree. Anyone who knows Lovetta knows that she loves to laugh and dance. Lovetta’s innate sense of people, care for others and love of the job has made her an integral part of the KP team.
