Team Member Highlight: Iris Pierce

Iris Pierce began working with Kensington Park in December of 2014 in the Woodlands. Before working for Kensington, she worked as an Assisted Living Coordinator with Sunrise Senior Living, where she responsible for coordinating the care of approximately 65 residents. Iris’ role included hiring and managing the team that provided care, in addition to partnering with families to care for their loved ones. She has a background working directly with memory care residents as a caregiver, and had served as a medication technician. Certified by the State of Maryland as an Assisted Living Manager and have recently become a Certified Dementia Practitioner.

Programming for Memory Care

Our team has shifted our focus from remodeling the physical community to restructuring our Memory Care Programming. We are excited to announce we have recently started our staff training series called Memory Care Leadership Excellence. The focus of this training series is life enrichment and elevating our standard of clinical care. Additionally, we have launched a new family support group- called Caregiver Connect. Our goal is to offer as much support to the families and caregivers of our residents as possible.
