Doameer first joined the Kensington Park Family in 2018, and currently works as a Lead Care Partner at the Groves, primarily in our Connections Program. You can often find Doameer sharing moments with residents and always wearing a smile on her face, regardless of what is going on around her. It’s the kind of smile that you can see even when wearing a mask!
Doameer was born in Ethiopia, where she spent her first 11 years. She and her family then moved to Kenya, where she lived for more than 10 years before moving to the U.S. in 2015. Doameer began working in health care because she felt she could do more to help others. She was working at a different community with another Kensington Park employee who recommended she come work here. We are so glad that she did!
When Doameer is not working at KP, she likes to spend time with her two daughters: Wannawu (age 13) and Jotbeer (age 7). They love to go out to eat for Ethiopian food. Doameer’s favorite music is hip-hop and she loves to travel. This summer, she has plans to visit South Korea with a friend.
Doameer’s co-workers agree that she is phenomenal. Our Memory Care Coordinator, Lovetta, said that “she’s the kind of person who is always willing to help out. She is always willing to go above and beyond.” Watching Doameer in action, you can see that she lives by the KP promise: to love and care for your loved ones as we do our own. We are so lucky to have Doameer on our team!
