Team Member Highlight: Bunmi Omotoso

Bunmi is a care manager at The Groves and, in nominating her for employee of the month, here’s what a family member had to say about her:

“Bunmi exhibits both compassion and patience when working with residents and therefore is able to develop strong, positive relationships with those she cares for.”

Kensington park team member Bunmi cares for memory care residents at The Groves neighborhoodBunmi is from Nigeria and has been at Kensington Park since December 2014. She loves the family feeling among the staff at Kensington Park and looks forward to coming to work every day. She describes herself as honest, hardworking and focused, and says these are the traits she expects and admires in others as well.

Bunmi is married and has four wonderful children. She says that her family is the most important thing in life to her. She sings with her church choir and is also part of the new Kensington Park staff choir. Gospel is her favorite type of music.

Bunmi’s outlook on life is to have no fear. “Life itself is full of risk; you must face your fears.” And she lives by the motto, “Whatever will be, will be.” She would like to become a registered nurse. Her advice to new hires is:

“This is not just a job. Stay focused and remember you are here to serve the residents with care and compassion.”

Congratulations, Bunmi! And thank you for all the compassion and care you show our residents every day.
