Team Member Highlight: Bizunesh Eshete, Groves Care Partner

Bizunesh “Bizu” Eshete is originally from Ethiopia and came to the U.S. in 2008. Before coming to Kensington Park as a Lead Care Partner in our Connections neighborhood in April 2018, Bizu used to work as a caretaker at a group home in Silver Spring. Bizu’s passion for others grew from her love of taking care of her older family members back home in Ethiopia.

Jamie Karp, Director of Nursing, and Lovetta Kpue, Memory Care Coordinator, say: “Bizu is an excellent and dedicated team member who is a great leader. The evening shift would not be the same without her! She works with her heart each day and treats everyone she encounters with respect and kindness, whether it is a resident or co-worker. She is always on time and supports in any way possible. Her calm and soothing demeanor make her excellent at working with residents who have challenging behaviors.”

Bizu has two kids (1 boy and 1 girl), and during her spare time she loves to listen to music, watch movies with her husband, and cook with her kids. Her favorite thing to cook is chicken arroz or Ethiopian Doro wat. When asked what Bizu enjoys most about KP, she says it is the family atmosphere, and adds, “KP is my second home!”

Kensington Park is so grateful to have Bizu as part of the team!
