“Truly an asset—hardworking, dependable, a team player, very flexible with his schedule and every job that is assigned to him. He gives it his all.”
That’s how Adam’s supervisor describes this outstanding porter and member of our housekeeping department who will celebrate his one-year anniversary with Kensington Park this month. Adam says he is very happy to be part of the Kensington Park team.
“There are so many opportunities to learn, people are friendly, and there is great teamwork.”
Prior to coming to our community, Adam served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was deployed to Iraq where he guarded the American Embassy for four years. Even though he says that surviving in Iraq was the biggest challenge of his life, were he not working at Kensington Park, he knows he’d be back in the military.
Adam says people think he looks like actor Eddie Murphy. He sees himself as respectful and God fearing. He says he is honest, kind and compassionate. Others might describe him as jolly. Adam enjoys chicken and rice, watching TV, listening to the radio and working out at the gym. His motto is, “Keep going.” Adam says he is happiest when he has fulfilled his job duties. His advice to new hires is, “Be on time, never call out, finish your assignments on time, and respect your supervisor.” Adam is consistently polite and approaches every task with a “can-do” attitude. He is a valuable member of our team and we truly appreciate his many contributions to our community.
