With her warm, welcoming personality recognized by everyone she encounters, Groves resident Patricia T. joined our Kensington Park Family in May 2019.
“California Girl” Patricia, better known as Pat, grew up in Pasadena where she enjoyed tennis, swimming, horseback riding and of course the Rose Bowl Parades! Pat had an active social life which began in high school and continued through her time at Pasadena City College. Pat met and married her high school sweetheart Bill when she was eighteen-years-old. Early on in their marriage, she worked as a secretary for State Farm Insurance but prided herself on being an incredible mother to four boys. The family moved around across the United States and parts of Europe, including Germany and Holland due to the nature of Bill’s job as a mechanical engineer. This busy life did not stop Pat from remaining active in the community; she continued playing tennis and bridge with neighbors, friends and even colleagues at business parties.
Prior to moving to Kensington Park, Pat lived in her longtime home in Carlsbad, California which had incredible views of a major golf course and the ocean. She was a member of the local country club where she played tennis and even took up golfing – often near the top of the leaderboard in women’s tournaments.
At Kensington Park, you can find Pat participating in our indoor putt-putt challenges in the Groves. Since moving here, she has graced us with her great sense of humor and caring personality. She is lucky to now have seven grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who visit often. If you get the chance, stop by the Groves to chat with Pat about her incredible travels and adventures.
