Frank and Marie M. joined the Kensington Park community just three months ago from Weston Connecticut where they lived for 32 years.
Frank and Marie met when they were 12 years old while vacationing in Westchester, New York with their families in the summer. They started dating a couple years after they met and then all throughout Frank’s time in the army. Marie, born in the Bronx and Frank, born in Brooklyn finally got married in the summer of 1957 and started their family very soon after. They have six children and eight grandchildren with many living in the D.C. area. They were very active in their church together and enjoyed dancing and gardening throughout their time in Connecticut.
Frank and Marie came to Kensington Park because of the variety of services offered. They have benefited greatly from the music therapy offered here at Kensington Park where they are able to dance together again! They chose Kensington Park because of the warm welcome they received, which is why Frank has already become an ambassador, providing new residents the same welcoming feeling the couple felt when they first arrived.
The social aspect of Kensington Park is another reason why they chose to reside here; the many activities and outings we offer keep them busy. Surrounded by new friends and family, Frank and Marie are happy to have joined the Kensington Park community and we are so happy they did!
