Allane C. was born with music inside of her, and music truly became the soundtrack of her life.
Born and raised in Kansas, she graduated from Kansas University with a music degree and taught music for nine years at schools all over Kansas. along this journey, Allane had two children, a son Richard, otherwise known as “Lynn,” a daughter, Lorrie, and two beautiful grandchildren.
After getting married, Allane sang a different tune for a while, switching to a new career in sales. She was a pioneer for women as a traveling sales person, selling temperature control units. For 18 years, she traveled all over the United States by car and was very successful, clocking over a million miles in her career! Allane didn’t miss a beat even after retiring. She spent many years traveling abroad, especially to Ireland, which she considers one of her favorite countries to visit. Allane lived in many different states. Moving from Arizona, Allane says she is very happy and fortunate to have finally found a perfect place to spend time closer to her family here in Maryland. She says coming to Kensington Park immediately felt like home with “a lot of friendly people” and a lot of new friends, residents and staff, to share her love of music. While Allane loves to walk and enjoy the scenery around the community, read the daily newspaper and go to the Unity church every Sunday, it’s Allane’s love of music that plays on regularly at Kensington Park, where she is very social. Returning to her first love playing the piano, Allane is sure to inspire a sing-a-long amongst the residents. if you listen closely, you may just hear her strike a chord…..
