Musical Notes with Julia: Our Spring Playlist

Dear Residents, Families, and Friends,

Our Kensington Park community is looking forward to the spring season and spending more time together outdoors. We are even starting to have some music therapy sessions outside on the porch and in the garden! The flowers are starting to bloom and we are excited to watch our KP garden grow.

Our music therapy groups have been celebrating spring with songs about flowers and warm weather. We have also been discussing what we are looking forward to and hoping to do this spring. Our music therapy groups go beyond music making – our participants connect through music-prompted discussion and reminiscence.

Below are some spring-inspired songs on our playlist that we hope you enjoy listening to or singing with your loved ones this season:

  • April Showers
  • Tip-Toe Through the Tulips with Me
  • Edelweiss
  • When the Red Red Robin Comes Bob Bob Bobbin’ Along
  • Easter Parade
  • Bicycle Built For Two
  • When It’s Springtime In the Rockies
  • (I’ll Be With You) In Apple Blossom Time
  • Singing in the Rain
  • My Wild Irish Rose
