Meet Khyla Anderson, the newest member of Kensington Park’s Creative Arts Therapy team. Khyla received her bachelor’s degree in music therapy, with a minor in psychology, from Immaculata University in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Before coming to Kensington Park, Khyla completed a six-month internship at A Place To Be, a therapeutic arts organization offering unique performance-based music therapy programs in Middleburg, Virginia. Khyla plays the guitar, piano, violin, ukulele and the drum set. She loves to explore all styles and genres of music that introduce her to the vast array of musical instruments from around the world.
Khyla is a native Marylander and frequently enjoys the many attractions and events that are available throughout the metropolitan D.C. area. Her other hobbies include crocheting, yoga, and writing poetry and short stories. Khyla is delighted and feels blessed to be a part of the Kensington Park Creative Arts team and is passionate about sharing the power of music with all of our residents and staff.
