A Message from our Executive Director
Dear Residents, Families and Friends,
At Kensington Park, we continue to support causes and associations that are close to our heart as well as close to the needs of our residents. You may be aware, that we are, and continue to be, a strong supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association. Each year we have raised funds to support this cause as well as walk with residents, families, and our team in the National Walk each year in Washington DC.
In the last several years we established a relationship with the Parkinson’s Foundation of the National Capital Area, and we support this cause by holding onsite Parkinson’s Communication Club, Parkinson’s Energized Fitness Club and onsite Webinars with specialist physicians in the area of Parkinson’s. Our support also includes attending the Parkinson’s symposium, an educational conference for anyone impacted by Parkinson’s, and we Walk each September with the Parkinson’s Foundation of the National Capital Area to continue to support this cause.
We are excited to announce that we will begin to support another foundation, the Arthritis Foundation. We have partnered with the Arthritis Foundation and to start this new relationship we are having a “Pop UP Walk” on Saturday, July 13, 2019, from 10am – 12pm and it will occur on our Kensington Park campus. We have sent out communication so you have the details and we would encourage your participation.
For all of these partners, our Kensington Park team raises funds throughout the year to show our support which also add to the continued research for these diseases in hopes of a cure for them all.
