Mary’s Message: Team Banquet

A Message from our Executive Director

Dear Residents, Families, and Friends,

Take notice and roll out the Red Carpet! As most of you see for yourselves, our team members are pretty exceptional people and we like to celebrate them!

Mary Mell Headshot 2017On Friday, June 21st, 2019 Kensington Park held its annual Team Member Banquet.  It was quite spectacular with its theme of Hollywood Glamour!   And we did have a showing of Morticia and Gomez Adams- aka Amelia Manchester (Groves activity assistant) and her husband, who were very convincing. We hold this event off campus to give our team an opportunity to socialize outside of work, to be recognized and of course, to dance!  And we sure do have some great dancers!

We had the honor of recognizing 16 team members for an award named “Directors Choice,” kind of like the most valuable player of each department, but displays our Promise – “To Love and Care for Your Family as We Do our Own.” The directors had tough choices as we have an amazing group of close to 300 team members that make a difference in the lives of others across the Kensington Park campus!

We are pleased this year to celebrate the following MVPs – Rahel Ture, Woodlands Wellness Nurse; Kyoko Marrone, Kensington Club Coordinator; Charles Ekoko, Groves Nurse; Yolette Saint-Juste, Dining server; Frewoyn Tesfaselassie, Haven Lead Care manager; Adan Barrera, Dining utility; Maria Hernandez, Environmental Services laundry; Magno Portillo, Environmental Services Maintenance assistant; Tibebe Asfew, Kensington at Home Care manager; Anab Abdi, Woodlands Care manager; Tigist Gebeye Woodlands Care manager; Faith Cheruiyot, Groves Care manager; Betsy Davis, Sales and Marketing Move in Coordinator; and Haben Debessai, Concierge. As the Executive Director, I am pleased to recognize two directors that excel each day in serving our residents and families throughout Kensington Park. Morissa Harris, Director of Dining Services and Grace Engrum, Director of Environmental Services, truly make a difference at Kensington Park! Congratulations to all our winners and we are grateful each day for who you are and the difference you make in the lives of others.

Warmly,

Mary
