Dear Residents, Families and Friends,
Taking Care of You! More than ever we need to take care of ourselves and for some of us this pandemic has forced us to do just that. As caregivers we never put ourselves first and now, we have an opportunity to do so.
Our team has put together a 7-week series which focuses on Better Self-Care. I encourage all of you to look at the topics and choose one that you may connect with. Our two speakers join us virtually from Hilton Head Health and ENR Wellness Consulting. Both speakers have over 25 years of experience and have delivered popular TEDx talks. Our first session is Wednesday, October 7th from 12:30-1:15pm and starts with “Prioritizing Self Care.” An email with the entire series details is forthcoming.
I am deeply touched by continued support from our families and it is why our team felt the need to make sure all of us are taking care of ourselves. This pandemic and unrest in our world combined with natural disasters has had a significant impact on us emotionally and physically. Please be each other’s advocates so we can continue to be strong together through all of this. The following quote was shared with me, author unknown, and I thought it fitting for this time. “An empty lantern provides no light. Self-care is the fuel that allows your light to shine brightly.”
As we continue to together as a KP family, I want to see all our lights shining brightly. If I haven’t made it clear enough before: we care about all of you!
