Mary’s Message: Summertime at Kensington Park

Dear Residents, Families and Friends,

Welcome to the beginning of the summer season at Kensington Park! We look forward to kicking it off with you through several fun events this month.

For starters, don’t miss out on our annual Summer Concert Series! Gather with friends and family at Kensington Park for live entertainment, sweet treats, and fun. Our first concert takes place on Sunday, June 9th at 6:30pm, with a performance by Empty Ecstasy.

During the month of June, we celebrate and recognize Juneteenth, the holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the US. Kensington Park is proud to be a sponsor of the Kensington’s Juneteenth Celebration, a family friendly event on June 15th that brings together a multiracial coalition of organizers, historians, re-enactors, civic and faith leaders, local and Black-owned businesses, musicians, and supporters to proudly mark Juneteenth. I highly encourage you all to attend!

And finally, Kensington Park celebrates Pride month this June. We are proud to recognize the valuable contributions of the LGBTQ+ community, and we celebrate love, of all forms, that exist in this world today.

Wishing you all a safe, healthy, and fun month ahead. Happy Father’s Day to all our amazing dads! Whether he brought you into this world or you chose him, he is your rock and soft place to fall. We look forward to celebrating all the one-of-a-kinds dads in our lives!

Warmly,
Mary
