Mary’s Message: Summer Fun at Kensington Park!

Dear Residents, Families and Friends,

I hope everyone is having a great summer! I am so grateful to each and every one of you for making my summer days bright and fun. It’s always a joy to see families visiting and enjoying the outside!

There’s even more fun to have this upcoming month and I can’t wait to see you all there! Read on for some great events you don’t want to miss:

  1. We hope everyone had a wonderful time at the Fourth of July celebration at Kensington Park! We enjoyed a cross-campus musical performance outdoors and some sweet treats with our residents, families, and team members.
  2. Don’t miss out on the rest of our annual Summer Concert Series! Bring friends and family to KP for live entertainment and ice cream treats. Our second concert of the summer takes place on Sunday, July 16th at 6:30 pm, with a performance by the
    Bluemont Brass Quintet.
  3. On Tuesday, August 1st, join Kensington Park for a “National Night Out” Block Party! National Night Out is a nationwide annual, communitybuilding event designed to generate and spread goodwill between police and neighbors. The festive evening includes demonstrations and displays that promote neighborhood support of and participation in efforts to make the community a more caring, safe place to live. Bring the whole family to enjoy food, face painting, musical entertainment, K9 demonstrations and more! The event takes place on our campus from 5-7pm.
  4. For our incredible caregivers out there, Kensington Senior Living is hosting a five-part virtual workshop series with aging experts. Topics include Music, Memory & Meaning; Art for the Aging Brain; Caregiver Mental Fitness; and Your Weekly Wellness Plan to Find Balance and Joy for a Busy Life. You can RSVP for the events and tune in here. All sessions will be recorded.

Wishing you all a fun, safe, and happy summer!

Warmly,
Mary
