Dear Residents, Families and Friends,
Welcome to the start of the summer season at Kensington Park! Garden clubs, picnics, outdoor exercise classes, porch visits, boat outings, and summer holiday celebrations are just a few of the many reasons why I love the summer months on our campus.
Starting this month, we are excited to be bringing back our annual Summer Concert Series! Gather with friends and family at KP for live entertainment, sweet treats, and fun. Our first concert takes place on Sunday, June 11th at 6:30 pm, with a performance by Frank Plummer.
During the month of June, we also celebrate and recognize Juneteenth, the holiday that commemorates the end of slavery in the US. Our events around campus will include educational activities on African American history, music, poetry, art, and more. I also encourage you all to attend the Town of Kensington’s Second Annual Juneteenth Celebration.
Finally, Kensington Park celebrates Pride month this June. We are proud to recognize the valuable contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community, and we celebrate love, of all forms, that exist in this world today.
Wishing you all a safe, healthy, and fun month ahead. And a Happy Father’s Day to all of our amazing dads!
Warmly,
Mary
