Gratitude. A word that is heard often as we enter the season of giving. It is also a word that comes to mind daily when thinking about our amazing residents, families, team members and the entire campus of Kensington Park. The power of family is engraved in everything we do here, and we are so grateful that you’re all a part of ours!
Especially during this season, residents and families often ask about tipping for team members as a way to show their appreciation for all their hard work. Due to our non-tipping policy, our residents created the Kensington Park Team Appreciation Fund. A special salute to two special groups this month: our caregivers and our veterans. To our caregivers: we recognize and honor you for all you do for your loved ones. You are always invited to join our Caregiver Connect discussion group held on the second Monday of each month. Read more details. And to our veterans: your love of our country and dedication to coming together as one made a significant difference in all our lives! We appreciate and recognize all of you.
Finally, because giving back to others is what we love to do, we are hosting our annual Friendsgiving: Stuff the Truck food drive throughout the month of November to benefit Mid-County United Ministries (MUM). We will have boxes in each building to drop off non-perishable items (most needed: canned goods, hot/cold cereals, pasta and rice) or $25 gift cards to Safeway and Giant. A flyer was sent out with more details; thank you in advance for helping our neighbors in need!
