Dear Residents, Families and Friends,
The month of August kicks off one of our favorite events of the year: National Night Out!
National Night Out is a nationwide annual community-building event, designed to generate
and spread goodwill between police and neighbors. On Tuesday, August 6th, we are thrilled to welcome you to Kensington Park for our annual National Night Out Block Party! The event takes place from 5:00-7:00 pm.
Join us for an evening of festive celebrations and engaging activities that encourage neighborhood participation in efforts to make the local Kensington community an even more caring, safer place to live. Bring the whole family to enjoy hot dogs, face painting, live music and an array of vendors from the community.
Meet and greet officers from the Montgomery County Police Department 2nd District, as well as representatives from other local agencies dedicated to keeping our neighborhoods secure.
Other August events you don’t want to miss:
• Summer Concert Series: On Sunday, August 18th at 6:30pm, join us for the final performance in our annual Summer Concert Series! Bring friends and family to KP for live entertainment by the Susan Jones Quartet and enjoy ice cream treats.
• The Power of Music for Aging Adults with Dementia: On Wednesday, August 28th at 6pm, join us for this virtual presentation with our very own Julia McCarren, Director of Creative Arts Therapies! Kensington Senior Living is proud to partner with the UCSF Institute for Health & Aging: Music & Dementia Research Network for this inspiring event about how music offers a multitude of incredible benefits for individuals living with dementia.
Thank you to all who have spent your summer days with us at Kensington Park. It has been a summer of fun and family – which is what we are all about!
Warmly,
Mary
