Montgomery County Fair Photo Awards

KP Photography Club Wins Ribbons

KP is so proud of our award winning resident photographers at this year’s Montgomery Country Fair!

Award Winning Kensington Park Senior Living Photography Club Award

In January 2015, Kensington Park started a photography club which is attended by several residents from the Highlands (Independent Living) and the Woodlands (Assisted Living). The club meets weekly on Thursday nights and the participants are provided with classroom lectures, hands-on photography lessons and weekly brainstorming sessions. For those who are new to the digital world a camera is loaned to them for the duration of the program. The featured project of the year is the Annual Montgomery County Fair Photo Contest held every August.

During the year the photographers take photos that represent the various categories that are open for submissions. Each photographer can enter up to 4 photos total. This year the Kensington Park Photographers In Residence entered 33 photos in a variety of categories. You should note that the fair doesn’t have a category for seniors just an adult category so our seniors are competing with all adults and all levels and types of digital cameras.

First, I want to say that all the participants are Winners!!!

The following Residents received ribbons for their work this year by the Fair judges:
