Kensington Park Celebration of Life 2023

Kensington Park Celebration of Life 2023

Our Promise “to love and care for your family as we do our own” includes both current families and those whose loved ones are no longer with us. Once a part of the Kensington Park family, always a part of Kensington Park family.

Each year, Kensington Park Senior Living invites families, friends and team members to gather and celebrate the lives of residents we lost throughout the previous year. This special event is a chance for us to pause and honor these individuals, reflect on the ways they touched our lives and express how they live on within our hearts – together as one community.

With a tremendous team effort, the “Celebration of Life” program was held on Saturday, April 29th, 2023. This event included family members and friends of our 39 residents who passed away in 2022. We hosted the event on our Kensington Park campus in a spacious tent outside. The tent was beautifully decorated with lanterns and twinkling lights, with a presentation of photos of those residents we miss dearly. The ceremony was profoundly touching, with a family member or team member placing a calla lily beside their loved one’s framed photo as each name was spoken aloud, one by one.

The ceremony brought forth beautiful memories, laughter, and tears, with remembrances shared by team members from each of our three buildings and music provided by team members Melissa Pate and Elias Alicea. Our very own KP Dining Team wowed everyone with their delicious cuisine. Each guest left with a memorial windchime in honor of their loved one.

It was an honor to celebrate the lives of those we have cared for. It also provided our team the opportunity to reunite with all those family members and friends that we have missed. It was deeply gratifying to be able to share such a special event with so many dear friends.

May all our beautiful residents who passed Rest in Peace.
