Every day we have the opportunity to grow and be the best people we can be. What helps us keep moving ahead with hope and happiness? It is often the feeling and mindset of being grateful. I once saw a sign that said, “It is not happy people who are thankful; it is thankful people who are happy.” These are important words for the reflection during this season of Thanksgiving. We can all be diverted into negative thoughts, but at this time of year, let’s help each other see the bright side of the day.
Here at Kensington Park, we try to encourage each other to stay active, involved and grateful for all the good we have in our lives. This month we will have many activities to have fun together. On Veterans Day, we will honor those of you who served our country with a celebration that everyone is invited to attend. (Additional information will be forthcoming about the celebration.) I urge you to spend some time counting your many blessings, as I will do. I wish each of you an abundance of gratefulness and happiness.
