Dear Residents, Families and Friends,

Happy New Year and thank you for sharing the holidays with us at Kensington Park! As we all start the new year thinking about “the resolution,” take a moment and consider how you as a caregiver can take care of yourself. Spending time reading a good book, reacquainting with friends, or taking that one class you haven’t made time for, are several options. Just don’t take on too much. Set aside one evening or some part of one day for you alone. As they say, Just Do It! Too often our days pass by and we find ourselves in the same place. So, go ahead! And make 2017 the year you made a change for yourself — that little something that will bring you joy and allow you to share your very joyful self with others.

As we close 2016, we are very grateful for those families and friends in our lives. And if you don’t know already, Kensington Park’s promise to you is “to love and care for your family as we do our own.” We love taking care of you and your families and thank you for sending those you love to Kensington Park. Your personal referrals account for almost half of all those we receive. This is, of course, the highest compliment you could pay us and we appreciate your continued confidence. Remember that there is a little something in it for you — our Family and Friends referral program. Please contact Perri Holod, Director of Sales and Marketing, at pholod@kensingtonsl.com, to find out more. We love taking care of people!

We continue to receive good feedback about our monthly newsletter, where readers can stay up-to-date on all the events that keep our community so busy throughout the year. Our newsletter is emailed to all families and hard copies are available for our residents in each building. If, for some reason, you aren’t receiving our newsletters electronically, please contact me, at mmell@kensingtonsl.com. Links to our monthly activities calendars can be found in our newsletter, or you can visit our website at kensingtonparkseniorliving.com.

Volunteers are an extremely important part of our activities programming and, if you would like to share a talent or just visit with our residents, please contact me at the above email address.

We are committed to providing the highest quality of service throughout our campus and are always looking for ways to do more. So please share with me your comments, suggestions or concerns. I can be reached at the email address above, or by phone, at 301-946-7700.

Cheers to you in 2017!

Warmly,

Headshot of Kensington Park Executive Director Mary Mell.
