Dear Residents, Families, and Friends,
‘Tis the season at Kensington Park for lots of celebration! Join us in The Highlands for our Holiday Party on Saturday, December 1, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. We follow with our Woodlands Holiday Party on Saturday, December 8, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. And then our Groves Holiday Party will be held on Saturday, December 15, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Be on the lookout for our Hanukkah celebration invitation. And be sure to RSVP for these fabulous festivities!
Each year Kensington Park partners with the Manna Food Center here in Montgomery County to host a Friendsgiving Food Drive. Guests include our own Highlands residents along with other providers who serve seniors. This year we are very pleased to announce that we collected 3,000 pounds of food. What a great gift to others and a beautiful way to start off the giving season!
Thank you for the kindness you have shown to our team by giving to the Employee Appreciation Fund. This fund, which was established by our residents, is a way for families and residents to show their appreciation to our team members for their dedication and hard work throughout the year. The president of the Resident Council will be distributing the funds to the team members during their annual Holiday party!As we close 2018, I reflect on the love of family and how that is reflected every day with our residents, their families, and our team. Our campus may be large, 8 1/2 acres to be exact, but the warmth, love for others, and constant laughter is present throughout our campus. We love caring for others and we truly believe in our Kensington Park mission – “We promise to love and care for your family as we do our own.” We feel very fortunate to be in a profession where every day we can care for “our family” and make a difference in the lives of others as well as our own.
Kensington Park is proud to take care of your friends and families, and it is common for old friends and neighbors to become reacquainted, to reconnect, or to discover new friendships while living or visiting Kensington Park. Our doors are always open, so stop in at one of our many cocktail hours, where the warmth and charm of family will surround you!
