Chili Super Bowl Sunday Kensington Park

Game Day Chili Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cans pinto beans rinsed and drained (15ozs.)
  • 3 cans tomato puree (8ozs.)
  • 1 bottle dark beer
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1 can tomato paste (6oz.)
  • 1 can chopped green chili’s
  • 2 tbsp. chili powder
  • 3 tbsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • Hot sauce to taste

Directions:

In a Dutch oven combine the ground beef, onion and garlic and cook until meat crumbles and cooked through.  Drain excess grease. Combine beans, tomato puree, beer, broth, tomato paste, chilies and all seasonings and bring to a boil.  Reduce heat and simmer for 3 hours or until thickened.
