with Kensington Park

Kensington Park Senior Living invites you to join us in person for a series of exercise classes and lectures to kickstart your autumn health journey!

Take part in a balance class to improve stability; a chair yoga class to focus on meditation and breathing; and a boxing class to improve coordination and strength. In addition, learn about important topics like how to prevent falling; becoming mindful with music; and the importance of nutrition and sleep. After each exercise class and lecture, walk away with a healthy lunch-to-go made by our Executive Chef Morissa Harris.

Wednesday, September 14th from 11am-1pm: Balance in Action Class & Fall Prevention Lecture with Kevin Lorello

Kevin Lorello is the Director of Powerback Rehabilitation Services here at Kensington Park. Kevin will lead an evidence-based fall risk management “Balance in Action” class, followed by an informative presentation on the best fall prevention strategies.

Wednesday, September 21st from 11am-1pm: Chair Yoga Class & Mindful Music Lecture with Ashish Dashottar & Melissa Pate

Certified yoga instructor Ashish Dashottar will lead a chair-based yoga class where he leverages all the essential elements of yogic exercises toward benefits of healing, well-being and spirit. Then, Kensington Park’s Melissa Pate, MT, will present a lecture on music therapy techniques and exploring an outlet for joyful expression.

Wednesday, September 28th from 11am-1pm: Boxing Class & Nutrition Lecture with Kristian Bain & Terry Fuller, RD

Lead trainer at SPIRIT Club Fitness, Kristian Bain, will lead a boxing class to help improve balance, coordination and endurance. Then, registered dietician Terry Fuller, RD, will dive into the importance of living a nutritious lifestyle and how diet can affect sleep
