- 2 sheets puff pastry
- ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 20 pieces of bacon strips
- 1 egg, whisked
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup cream cheese
- 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
- ½ tsp. garlic salt
- 1 cup beer
- 2 tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
Preheat oven to 400. Line two large baking trays with parchment paper. Unroll pastry sheets with wide side facing you. Sprinkle on ½ cup shredded cheddar. Arrange bacon on top of the cheese. Slice the pastry into strips in between bacon strips. Twist each pastry strip so you get an even twist.
Place twists on baking trays, brush with egg mixture and bake for 20 min. until golden brown and bacon is crisp.
While pastry is cooking, place remaining ingredients except beer and parsley into saucepan. Heat on medium until melted and thickened. Add in beer and stir. Simmer gently. Sprinkle with parsley and enjoy!
