Chef Morissa’s Toasted Sesame Ginger Salmon

Toasted Sesame Ginger Salmon

  • 2 lbs. raw salmon
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp. toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. grated fresh ginger
  • 3 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. toasted sesame seeds
  • 4 scallions, sliced

Sesame ginger honey glaze:

  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 tsp. toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • ½ tsp. grated ginger
  • ½ tsp. toasted sesame seeds

Directions:

Combine oil, sesame oil, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, vinegar, brown sugar and whisk until combined. Add salmon and marinate for 30 minutes.

Preheat broiler in oven. Remove Salmon, place on lined baking sheet, sprinkle with Salt and pepper, them place directly under broiler. Cook for 10 minutes, until flaky. Remove and serve immediately. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and scallions and the glaze below.

Glaze: Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk until smooth. Pour over salmon.
