Carson, Our Beloved Mascot

Dear Residents, Families and Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that I share that Carson, my 11-year-old golden retriever, passed away unexpectedly this month. Thankfully, he was not in any pain.

Carson began working in senior living at just 4 months old, then came to Kensington Park in 2014. A friendly and loving pup, Carson touched the lives of all that knew him – and always brought them a toy! The residents, families and team at KP were truly his second family. He was our perfect campus mascot!

We even created a stuffed animal “Mini Me Carson” (just as fluffy as the real Carson), which we delivered to residents in the hospital and gifted to many families and friends. One summer, families sent in photos of mini Carson traveling around the world on vacation with them. He visited places like Paris, Hawaii, and even an African safari! He was one lucky dog.

Every year, Carson participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in honor of his grandma Gigi and his other adopted grandparents of KP. If you wish, you can make a donation to our Alzheimer’s Fund – as a way to remember our sweet pup! To donate, click here.

Carson lived a full and happy life because of all of you. Thank you to all those who loved him like their own! We miss him so much already.

Warmly,

Mary
