Caring for the Solo Ager: Building Your Support System for Successful Aging

Kensington Park Senior Living was proud to host the virtual panel, “Caring for Solo Agers: Building Your Support System for Successful Aging,” on Tuesday, February 27th.

At Kensington Park, we understand firsthand the decisions that need to be made around the care of an aging adult, and that this journey is one you should not undertake alone. Watch our panel discussion that focused on the solo senior who does not have a partner, children or kin who can support their care as they age – or the caregiver who is caring for a spouse but has no relatives. It included the legal ramifications such as Power of Attorney, the clinical aspects as to how care will be provided if needed, and logistics of how to decide where to live.

The Panelists:

Bree Baldwin, MS, Aging Well Eldercare, earned her BA from Colorado State University. After living abroad, she received her Master’s degree in Gerontology from Oklahoma State University, returning to an interest in working with aging adults that began early in life. Bree has experience in dementia care, creating and administering social day groups for seniors with memory loss, environmental gerontology (aging-in-place), and caregiver support groups.
