Overview:
The Parkinson’s Communications Club, offered in partnership with the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area (PFNCA), meets virtually every Monday from 3–4 pm and is led by licensed speech-language therapist Susan Wranik.
Trained in LSVT LOUD (Lee Silverman Voice Treatment), Susan guides participants and their care partners through a wellness-based program designed to maintain communication skills, strengthen vocal loudness for better social interactions, and reinforce techniques learned in LOUD or other therapies. While not a therapy session, this supportive group setting helps individuals with Parkinson’s apply these exercises in daily life, and participation is free for PFNCA members.

Participants must be registered PFNCA members. Join the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area’s weekly boxing classes every Tuesday to experience the benefits of movement and community.
Led by Dion, SPIRIT Club Trainer, these supportive sessions are designed for aging adults and individuals with mobility challenges, helping improve strength, coordination, and confidence. Whether you’re new to boxing or experienced, exercises are tailored to meet individual abilities.
Annual National Night Out Block Party

With over 20 years of experience advocating for older adults, Leslie offers expert insight in a safe, welcoming setting where spouses can share caregiving experiences, connect with others on the same journey, and receive valuable support.
Open to all spouses caring for a partner at home or in a community, the group includes light bites and beverages. Led by Kyoko Marrone, our Kensington Club Coordinator, monthly art therapy sessions foster connection and well-being in a compassionate environment.
