Dear Residents, Families, and Friends,
October promises to be a busy time, with many interesting events planned at Kensington Park. But more important, October is Resident Rights Month. Our focus is on you, as the resident, and we encourage you or your family member to feel comfortable in voicing your opinions and providing us with feedback. We are also very fortunate in Montgomery County to have the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program; whose volunteers visit our community regularly. They are a great resource for our residents and families in their role as advocates and we are fortunate indeed to have their support.
Come walk with us! Our Kensington Park team will take its next step in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease by participating in the National Walk To End Alzheimer’s on Saturday, October 13th. Contact Betsy Davis at 301-946-7700 or bdavis@kensingtonsl.com for information. This is a good way to spend time with family and friends for a great cause while walking off those extra pounds!
Watch for a coming announcement regarding the dates for our Halloween parties across campus and be sure you come in costume! We will also be inviting local children in to trick-or-treat. Please refer to the activities calendar for your community for further details.
Make October a month of exploration and reflection, in anticipation of our days becoming more hectic! Keep yourself healthy and vitalized with long walks, fresh air, and surrounding yourself in the beautiful colors of the fall season!
