“We’ll meet again, don’t know where, don’t know when, but I’m sure we’ll meet again some sunny day.”
Dear Residents, Families, and Friends,
As my time at Kensington Park comes to a end, the overwhelming feeling I experience is gratitude. The last five years here have been more than I could have ever hoped for or imagined, and a big part of that is because of you.
To the residents: Thank you for allowing me to bring music into your life in a meaningful way. Whether I saw you individually or in a group or choir, it has been a joy to see you flourish. The relationships I have with each of you is so precious to me, and I am thankful for every song we have sung together.
To the families: Thank you for entrusting your loved one to me through music therapy. I am thankful for your openness and curiosity in learning more, and for your excitement to get your loved ones involved. I will always be grateful that I was able to serve your loved one in this special way and to make this era of their lives even sweeter.
To the staff: None of this would be possible without you, as it is truly a team effort. Thank you for your help, care, and advocacy for music therapy. I am forever grateful.
I am so excited to see how the music therapy program will flourish under Julia’s guidance. She is incredibly knowledgeable, talented, kind, and caring, and I trust that this program is left in good hands. I will miss you all dearly!
