Dear Residents, Families, and Friends,
If you had the opportunity to visit the community last month you may have seen some unusual sights for February. Maybe it was our Highlands residents enjoying social hour or dining al fresco out on the deck, or, perhaps, our Woodlands residents firing up the grill for a cookout. You must have seen our Groves residents, who brought their activities outside to the Groves Garden, or the various friends and family members who stopped by for a stroll across campus. Did the Groundhog get it wrong? Whatever you were doing when the warm temps hit, know that we love when you visit and that there is more to come with spring just around the corner.
We also want to let you know that we have kicked off our fundraising efforts for this year’s National Walk to End Alzheimer’s, which is scheduled for October 13 on the National Mall. We started off the year with the sale of the Groves Residents Calendar (there are still a few left), and on February 17, Kensington Park hosted mentalist Alain Nu, The Man Who Knows. Residents, families and friends were mesmerized and left trying to figure out, “How did he do that?” Please keep your eye out for upcoming events, including summer concerts, our annual car show and many other fun events. Again, thank you for all your continued support, feedback, and great comments about our team. We so love being able to care for all of you. Feel free to contact me at any time, at mmell@kensingtonsl.com, or by phone, at 301-946-7700.
Warmly,
Mary
