Kick off the new year with our Wellness Wednesdays! Whether having a healthier lifestyles is on your new year’s resolutions list, or you’re just looking to improve your overall self-care, join us for this wellness series that focuses on physical and mental health. Our expert partners will walk you through different techniques and exercises with holistic approach to aging and health: chair yoga, meditation & stress management, brain health, and balance exercises.
Wednesday, January 10th: Managing Stress – with Stephanie Johnson, DACM, LAC, MD
Stephanie Johnson will lead a session focused on self-care and mental health. She will provide techniques to manage stress and anxiety, followed by relaxation exercises.
Wednesday, January 17th: Balance Class – with Kevin Lorello, PTA
Physical therapist and Director of Rehabilitation with PowerBack Rehab, Kevin Lorello, will teach you techniques and exercises to help improve balance and physical strength.
Wednesday, January 24th: Chair Yoga & Meditation – with Ashish Dashottar
Ashish, our health yoga instructor, will focus on chair yoga poses that are great for relaxing your mind. He will also lead a group meditation session.
Wednesday, January 31st: Aging Gracefully – with Isa Carrizales, RD, LDN, Giant’s Healthy Living Team
This class will help you identify simple and gradual lifestyle strategies to help you meet your personal health goals and gracefully keep your brain healthy for aging.
